Confirmed: Which Bollywood actors finally replacing Aamir Khan as Incredible India ambassador
Mumbai, Jan 21; After a month-long debate and discussion, tourism ministry finally confirmed that which Bollywood stars would replace Aamir Khan as the ambassador of Incredible India campaign.
They are none other than but Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. While the name of Big B (Amitabh Bachchan is also known as Big B) was raised from the beginning, Priyanka Chopra's name has popped as a surprise.

Earlier Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's name too was considered for the same the campaign. However, the tourism ministry finally confirmed that it would be Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra, who will represent India.

Aamir Khan, who was the ambassador of Incredible India for last 10 years, was removed following the infamous controversy of "intolerance". The Bollywood actor faced tremendous criticism after raising questions over growing intolerance in the country.

Amitabh Kant, a senior bureaucrat, defended action against Aamir and said, "A brand ambassador promotes a brand. People will come to India and tourist flow will increase only if the brand ambassador of 'Incredible India' promotes the country as 'incredible."

"But if the brand ambassador says India is intolerant, he surely is not working as brand ambassador. The brand ambassador must be the best brand ambassador for promoting and marketing India, he cannot be the destroyer of the brand," Kant added without taking Aamir's name.
