Amit Shah to meet Devendra Fadnavis over Maratha quota stir today
Mumbai, Aug 6: BJP President Amit Shah is scheduled to meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today at 7 pm over the issue of Maratha Reservation.

The revived agitation of the Maratha community for reservation in jobs and education has roiled Maharashtra in the last two weeks.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that all constitutional obligations in connection with the granting of reservations to the Maratha community in the state would be completed by November this year.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inadvertently provided fodder for the Congress party to attack the BJP when he said that reservation will not guarantee employment as jobs are shrinking in the country.
Talking to reporters in Maharashtra's Aurangabad district, Gadkari was quoted by PTI as saying, "Let us assume the reservation is given. But there are no jobs. Because in banks, the jobs have shrunk because of IT. The government recruitment is frozen. Where are the jobs?'
The Congress party reacted saying, that's the question Indians are asking as well.
