Amit Shah promises to punish 'corrupt' Congress if BJP comes to power in Manipur
BJP president Amit Shah alleged that the incumbent Congress government in Manipur is corrupt.
Imphal, Feb 28: Attending an election rally in Kangpokpi, Manipur, on Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah alleged that the incumbent Congress government in the state is corrupt.
The BJP president told the crowd that if the party comes to power in the state, then it would punish the corrupt leaders of the current Congress regime in Manipur.

"Even after such levels of corruption if anyone thinks they can sleep in peace, let me alert them that once the BJP forms government in Manipur, none of those corrupt will be spared," Shah was quoted as saying by India Today.
"Even after 15 years of being in power the Congress could not provide clean drinking water to people of Manipur and the onus lies solely with Chief Minister Ibobi Singh."
Shah also mentioned the names of Congress president Sonia Gnadhi and her son and party vice president Rahul in his election speech.
"Ibobi Singh (chief minister of the state) invited Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to inaugurate incomplete development projects; corruption consumed all the funds," Shah was quoted as saying by ANI.
The state assembly elections are scheduled on March 4 and 8.
