Amit Shah on two-day UP visit from Tuesday

This will be Shah's first visit to the state after becoming the Bharatiya Janata Party president.
Elaborate arrangements have been made in the state capital to welcome Shah, who until his elevation was the party's general secretary in charge of its affairs in Uttar Pradesh.
After meeting BJP office-bearers at the party office at Vidhan Sabha Marg, the BJP president will attend a workers' convention at Saraswati Shishu Mandir.
He will fly back to New Delhi Tuesday night only to return to Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency, Aug 20 where he will inaugurate Modi's 'Jansampark Karyalaya' (public relations office).
The party spokesman said Shah will be spending the night in Varanasi.
He will offer prayers at the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple Aug 21 before leaving for another programme in Hyderabad.
Shah, under whose leadership the BJP won 71 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state, is likely to take stock of the party's preparedness for the forthcoming assembly bye-elections in 12 constituencies.
