Amit Shah and J P Nadda Strategize with BJP's Rajasthan Leadership for Upcoming State Assembly Elections
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda held discussions with the party's Rajasthan leadership on the upcoming state assembly elections. The meeting included former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, Union ministers Gajendra Singh, Arjun Meghwal, Kailash Chaudhary among others.
In the run-up to the forthcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda held a high-level meeting with the party's state leadership in Jaipur on Wednesday. The meeting has sparked off speculations that two central ministers might be asked to contest in the upcoming polls. This conjecture follows closely on the heels of BJP announcing three Union ministers and four other MPs as candidates for the impending Madhya Pradesh elections.
High-Level Discussions

Amit Shah and JP Nadda arrived in Jaipur via a special plane on Wednesday evening, proceeding directly to a hotel near the airport where they attended a core committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to party sources, Shah and Nadda initially had an exclusive discussion with former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje which lasted around 15 minutes.
Strategy Planning
The duo then proceeded to engage with senior leaders where they discussed potential constituencies and election strategies. Feedback was also sought regarding four 'parivartan yatras' that were recently concluded. The discussions marked an important step towards finalizing their game plan for the Rajasthan Assembly Elections.
Key Participants
Notable attendees at this crucial meet included Union minister Pralhad Joshi who is also designated as BJP’s election in-charge for Rajasthan; co-in-charge Nitin Patel; Arun Singh, who holds charge for Rajasthan from BJP's end; state president CP Joshi; Union Ministers Gajendra Singh, Arjun Meghwal, Kailash Chaudhary; leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore; and deputy leader of opposition among others. Their collective inputs will significantly contribute towards shaping up BJP’s strategy for these critical electoral battles.
The meetings are understood to be a part of BJP’s comprehensive strategy to regain power in Rajasthan. The party is leaving no stone unturned to ensure an effective and winning strategy, which includes roping in central ministers to contest the elections, thereby adding more weightage and credibility to their campaign.
In conclusion, these discussions highlight BJP's strategic approach towards the forthcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. By involving its top leadership along with Union ministers and senior state leaders, the party aims at formulating a robust election strategy that can pave the way for it to reclaim power in this politically significant state. It remains to be seen how these strategies will unfold on ground zero during campaigning and whether they would indeed translate into electoral victory for BJP.
