Amit Shah Doctored Viral Video: Delhi Police Registers FIR, Probe Underway
Taking cognizance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s complaint regarding a fake viral video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Delhi Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against unanimous. Reportedly, the Amit Shah's viral video falsely shows Union Minister advocating for the abolition of reservation quotas for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs), if they voted back to power.
It is said that the false video has been circulated to tarinsh the image of Amit Shah and BJP amid the ongoing crucial Lok Sabha elections 2024. Reacting to false allegations of misinformation, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) complained about it to the Delhi Police and seeking harsh action against people responsible for it.

BJP leader Amit Malviya said Union Minister Amit Shah's statement has been altered to misrepresent his thoughts on the sensitive reservation like issue and quotas for Muslims in Telangana.

Hitting out at the grand old party, Amit Malviya, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, said, "Telangana Congress is spreading an edited video which is completely fake and has the potential to cause large-scale violence. Home Minister Amit Shah spoke about removing the unconstitutional reservation given to Muslims, on the basis of religion, after reducing the share of SCs/STs and OBCs. This fake video has been posted by several Congress spokespersons. They must be prepared for legal consequences."
He also alleged that Congress' social media managers are running a false propaganda against the BJP by altering Union Minister's statement and sharing the doctored footage.
