Amit Shah decodes terrorist ‘Kasab’—Ka for Congress, Sa for SP, B for BSP
Amit Shah created a controversy by calling rival parties 'Kasab' at an election rally in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
Lucknow, Feb 23: Till yesterday, for every Indian, the word 'Kasab' reminded us about the dreaded Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who created mayhem and death during the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks.
However, Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah thinks otherwise. For the senior BJP leader, Kasab stands for--Ka for the Congress, Sa for the Samajwadi Party and B for the Bahujan Samaj Party.

During an election rally on Wednesday in Chauri Chaura, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Shah told the crowd that development will elude the state 'until they get rid of this Kasab'.
"Ye Uttar Pradesh ki janata is baar ke chunav mein is Kasab se mukti paa le. Main phir se bolta hun, Uttar Pradesh ki janata is baar ke chunav mein is Kasab se mukti paa le. Kasab se mera matlab kuchch aur mat nikaliyega. Kasab se mera matlab hai: Ka se Congress, Sa se Samajwadi Party aur B se... (BSP) (In this election, people of UP should get rid of Kasab. I say it again, people of UP should get rid of Kasab. Do not draw any other conclusion when I say Kasab. What I mean by Kasab is: Ka for Congress, Sa for Samajwadi Party and B for...)," Shah said.
"Until and unless Kasab is laid to rest, development and prosperity will continue to elude this state. In other words, it means that the state may have to languish further, if there is no respite from these political parties," he added.
The opposition parties are fuming at the latest statement made by one of the most prominent leaders of the BJP. The Congress called the remark as a violation of the model code of conduct.
"It is not a question of Kasab. Everybody acknowledges that he was a criminal. The question is symbolic--to try and make it communal by bringing in the Congress, the SP and the BSP," said Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the ruling SP of practicing discrimination when it comes to providing electricity and graveyard between Hindus and Muslims. The PM's remark in a poll rally in UP was branded as 'communal' by the Opposition.
