Amid Bihar Crisis Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav Skips Governor's Function, CM Nitish Kumar Attends
The Raj Bhavan 'At Home' reception event in Patna was attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday.
The event was skipped by Tejashwi Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader, while the presence of RJD leader Alok Mehta, a cabinet minister, was noted at the occasion.

Notably, Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has called a meeting of his close aides at his official residence in Patna. The meeting is currently underway, as per Zee News.
Bihar politics at Raj Bhawan?
The 'At Home' ceremony at Raj Bhavan was attended by dignitaries from various walks of life to strengthen ties and celebrate unity and collaboration. On the occasion of the 75th Republic Day, the national flag was unfurled at Nitish Kumar's residence in Patna earlier in the day, reported ANI.
Currently, the ruling JD(U)-RJD-Congress alliance in Bihar is on the verge of collapse due to speculation that Nitish Kumar could cross over to the NDA again.
A jibe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was taken by Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (RLJD) president Upendra Kushwaha on Friday, suggesting that even if Kumar leaves the ruling Mahagathbandhan, there is no guarantee he would stay with the Bharatiya Janata Party after the Lok Sabha elections. Kushwaha mentioned that Kumar is considering leaving the INDIA alliance, and the big question is whether he will stay with the NDA after the elections.
A change is anticipated, with BJP MLA Gyanendra Singh Gyanu expressing confidence in Nitish Kumar joining the NDA and predicting an NDA government in Bihar if that happens.
Earlier, Lalu's daughter Rohini Acharya took a swipe at RJD's ruling ally, JDU, on X posting that while the 'socialist party' (JDU) styles itself as progressive, its ideology shifts with the changing wind patterns. This statement triggered cracks within the ruling alliance, but the posts were later deleted, according to ANI reports.
On the occasion of Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur's birth centenary celebrations, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a scathing attack on Congress, stating that Karpoori Thakur never promoted his family. He compared this with the current trend of promoting dynastic politics.
Giving weight to the possible entry of Nitish Kumar into NDA, Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, mentioned that doors are never closed permanently in politics during a discussion of strategies for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He stated that the central leadership would decide whether the door would open or not. Sushil Modi was Deputy Chief Minister in the NDA government in Bihar in 2022 before Nitish Kumar severed ties with the ally BJP and partnered with the RJD and the Congress again.
