American authors come up with their book on the RSS

New Delhi, Aug 3: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) not only evokes interest of the people in the country but it generates inquisitiveness and interests among western scholars and academic. The book called 'The RSS: The View To the Inside' is a testimony to the fact that an American scholar Walter K Andersen and an Indian American Sridhar D Damle has come up with this book.

The book is about the growth of the RSS especially in the recent time and many other such factors about the organisation. Andersen is an American academic who had taught comparative politics at the College of Wooster before joining the United States State Department as a political analyst for South Asia specializing in India and Indian Ocean affairs. He was an adjunct professor at The American University in Washington, DC.

Both the authors, Andersen and Damle wrote another book on the similar subject called 'The Brotherhood in Saffron: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Hindu Revivalism' which is called an authoritative, detailed examination of the RSS, including its early growth in the pre-independence period, its organization, the function of its various officers and the evolution of its ideology.

Damle is known to be an expert on the right wing politics. He is also working on myths about Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He is of the opinion that there are lots of miscommunications about Veer Savarkar and to prove his point he has collected lots of research paper not only from Indian libraries including Nehru Memorial Library, Andaman and many other such places but also from the British libraries in London.
