Ambedkar statue stolen from Haryana village, case registered

The police was informed about the matter on Wednesday following a complaint by the village sarpanch, Investigating Officer Dulichand said.

Palwal (Haryana), October 26: Some unidentified persons have allegedly stolen a statue of Dr B R Ambedkar in Meerapur village, Palwal.

The police was informed about the matter on Wednesday following a complaint by the village sarpanch, Investigating Officer Dulichand said.

The sarpanch claimed that the statue was stolen on October 19.

The complainant attempted to make enquiries at his level, but later informed the local police, the officer said.

Investigations are underway and a case has been registered.
