Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani Mourn the Passing of Ratan Tata, a Visionary Industrialist
India's business community expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ratan Tata, a revered industrialist. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, described Tata as one of India's most distinguished and compassionate figures. Tata, who was 86, passed away in a Mumbai hospital. He was instrumental in elevating the Tata Group to new heights. Other prominent figures like Gautam Adani and Anand Mahindra also mourned his loss.

Ambani shared his personal grief, stating that Tata's death is a significant loss not only to the Tata Group but to all Indians. He remembered Tata as a visionary who inspired him through their interactions. "With the demise of Mr Ratan Tata, India has lost one of her most illustrious and kind-hearted sons," Ambani stated. Mahindra emphasised that Tata valued financial success for its ability to serve the global community. "Goodbye and Godspeed, Mr. T," Mahindra concluded.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, recalled his last meeting with Tata where they discussed Waymo's progress. Pichai noted that Tata left an extraordinary legacy in business and philanthropy. He credited Tata with mentoring modern business leaders in India and deeply caring about improving the country. Pichai extended his condolences to Tata's family.
Tata's influence extended beyond business; he was known for his philanthropic efforts aimed at societal betterment. His leadership transformed the House of Tata into an international enterprise, growing it over 70 times since he became Chairman in 1991.
