Five Youths Nabbed in Ambala: Unrecorded Cash Worth Rs 45 Lakh Seized
Following a tip-off, police arrested five youths near an Ambala restaurant on the Chandigarh highway. They seized unrecorded cash worth Rs 45 lakh along with other items from their possession. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
In a significant development in Ambala, Haryana on September 22nd, five young men were apprehended by the police following the recovery of unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 45 lakh. Acting swiftly on an anonymous tip-off, the local law enforcement authorities managed to arrest these individuals and also seized two vehicles, seven mobile phones and two laptops from their possession.
Origins and Arrest

The accused hail from various cities including Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal in Haryana and Zirakpur in Punjab. The arrest occurred near a restaurant situated along the Ambala-Chandigarh national highway. During their interrogation process, none of them could provide any satisfactory explanation regarding the origin or intended use for such a large sum of money.
Investigation Underway
Ambala's Additional SP Pooja Dabra has confirmed that a comprehensive investigation into this matter is currently underway. However, she admitted that it remains unclear as per preliminary investigations why they had traveled all the way from Karnal to Ambala with such an enormous amount of cash. Furthermore, it is yet to be determined who was supposed to receive this money and what its intended purpose was.
