Amarinder Singh's LS attendance was 6% compared to Yogi's 77%
Amarinder Singh who was also the Deputy Leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha, did not introduce any private member Bill during his tenure.
New Delhi, March 21: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath had an impressive attendance of 77 per cent as a Lok Sabha MP while his Punjab counterpart Amarinder Singh's was just six per cent, one of the lowest in the House.

The chief ministers of two states, Manohar Parrikar in Goa and Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh, out of the five states that recently went to polls are sitting Members of Parliament.
Amarinder Singh resigned as Lok Sabha MP from Amritsar just before the Punjab Assembly polls. According to PRS Legislative Research, the 44-year-old Gorakhpur MP, who is yet to resign from Lok Sabha after taking over reins in Uttar Pradesh and even attended proceedings on Tuesday, asked 284 questions during the current Lok Sabha, participated in 56 debates and introduced three private member Bills.
One of the Bills introduced by Adityanath was to establish a permanent bench of the Allahabad High Court at Gorakhpur. Adityanath has represented Gorakhpur five times and made his debut at the age of 26 in 1998. The Punjab Chief Minister, who was also the Deputy Leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha, did not introduce any private member Bill during his tenure.
The 75-year-old leader asked only 18 questions and participated in only four debates. Keshav Prasad Maurya, Adityanath's deputy in the state, and BJP MP from Phulpur had an attendance record of 82 per cent. Although, he did not introduce any private member Bill, he asked 158 questions and participated in 122 debates.
Adityanath and Maurya will now have to resign as MPs. They need to be elected as members of UP Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council. Similar is the case with former Defence Minister Parrikar, who is a Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh. He has to be elected to the Goa Legislative Assembly.
