Alwar lynching case: Third accused arrested by Rajasthan Police
Alwar, July 22: Rajasthan Police have arrested one more person on SUnday suspected to be involved in the Alwar mob lynching case.
In yet another case of mob lynching, a group of villagers killed a Rakbar Khan, 29, allegedly on the suspicion of cow smuggling in Rajasthan's Alwar district.
The police launched an investigation and have arrested three people so far.
If they are found guilty then they will also be punished, but as of now I don't have any such input: Gulab Chand Kataria,
According to the post mortem report, Rakbar died due to excessive internal bleeding.
A case has been registered under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC against unidentified men.
The Rakbar Khan incident is reminiscent of a similar incident which took place over a year ago in the same district. In April 2017, Pehlu Khan, a dairy farmer, was lynched allegedly by a group of cow vigilantes while transporting cattle to Haryana.
There have been several such lynching incidents in Rajasthan particularly in Alwar district, which has become a hotbed of cow vigilantism.
