Almost All Ministers In New Karnataka Cabinet Have Pending Criminal Cases
Out of the nine ministers in Karnataka, whose affidavits have been analysed, all have pending criminal cases against them. This includes the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah.
A report by the Association for Democratic Reforms says that out of the nine ministers who have declared pending criminal cases against them, 4 have serious cases pending. The report however noted that minister K J George was not analysed due to the unavailability of his clear and complete affidavits on the ECI website at the time of making this report.

Out of the 9 ministers analysed, all 9 ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves. 4 ministers have declared serious criminal cases against themselves, the report added.
Financial background:
- Out of the 9 ministers analysed, all 9 are crorepatis.The average assets of 9 ministers analysed is Rs 229.27 crore, the report said.
- The minister with the highest declared total assets is D K Shivakumar from Kanakapura constituency with assets worth Rs. 1413.80 crore.
- The minister with the lowest declared total assets is Priyank Kharge from Chittapur (SC) constituency with assets worth Rs. 16.83 crore, the report added.
- All 9 ministers have declared liabilities out of which the minister with the highest liabilities is D K Shivakumar of Kanakapura constituency with Rs. 265.06 crore of liabilities.
Other details:
- 56 per cent ministers have declared their age to be between 41 and 60 years while 4 ministers have declared their age to be between 61 and 80 years.
- Out of 9 ministers, none are women, the report also said.
