Almost 24-Hour Delay; Air India Flight To San Francisco; Passengers Provided Almost No Support
Air India's Flight Number 183, which was scheduled to fly from Delhi to San Francisco, had an almost 24 hour delay, during which passengers were left stranded in the airport with no way to go back in or out. Many passengers, after being stuck in the airport passageway with no air conditioners, passed out from the heat and exhaustion.
After checking the Air India website on the flight status, it appears the flight has been scheduled for 3:00 PM today, 31 May, with the original scheduled time of the flight being 3:20 PM yesterday, 30 May.

News of this story first spread when Journalism Shweta Punj made a post on X yesterday, 30 May, at around 10:00 PM, talking about how passengers were made to sit in the place without air conditions for 8 hours, and then were told to get off after a few of the fliers fainted due to the extreme Delhi heat.
After this incident, many other fliers who were supposed to be halfway to the U.S.A also made posts on twitter talking about the horrible experience their parents and other passengers were having when flying with Air India.
Some of these individuals got responses from the Air India Public Relations Account On X, but most of them didn't see any action taken until a couple hours later, when some of the passengers reported that they were provided a hotel to stay in at around 2:00 AM, with the flight scheduled for 11:00 AM. Even the new flight, however, has also been either cancelled or delayed, as reported by some of the replies on the posts of the weary fliers.
Air India, so far, as not given any response on their official account, except a post celebrating international flight attendant day.
