Allahabad High Court Stays Arrest of Music Producer Sunil Yadav in Kidnapping Case Involving Anupama Yadav

The Allahabad High Court has halted the arrest of music producer Sunil Yadav, accused of kidnapping a woman he had signed for an album, according to a court official. A bench of Justice Siddhartha and Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra has also issued a notice to Sushmita Yadav, the sister of the alleged victim, Anupama Yadav.

Allahabad HC Stays Arrest of Sunil Yadav

Sunil Yadav and Anupama Yadav were reportedly in a romantic relationship and planned to marry in April. On February 19, Sunil visited Anupama's home, claiming he needed to go to Nepal for wedding shopping. He took her in a Mahindra Scorpio car. However, after two hours, Anupama called Sunil's brother, Surya Kumar Yadav, saying Sunil was taking her to Bihar instead of Nepal. Her phone became unreachable afterward.

Allegations and Counterclaims

On February 22, Sunil informed Sushmita over the phone that Anupama was not with him. Sushmita then accused Sunil of either selling or murdering her 25-year-old sister. In response, Sunil alleged that the sisters were involved in a blackmail scheme. His lawyer stated that Sunil had paid Anupama approximately Rs 6 lakh for an album role, which she later refused to perform, leading to the fabricated kidnapping story.

Sunil Yadav was charged on February 23 under sections related to kidnapping and abduction at Kotwali Police Station in Deoria district. The charges include inducing a woman to compel her marriage. The legal proceedings continue as both sides present their arguments.

The case has drawn attention due to its complex nature involving personal relationships and professional commitments. The court's intervention aims to ensure a fair investigation while considering the allegations from both parties involved.

The situation remains tense as the court examines the evidence presented by both sides. The outcome will depend on further investigations and testimonies from those involved in this intricate case.
