Bengaluru, April 28: Customers on Friday thronged jewellery shops across the country to usher in Akshaya Tritiya.
Akshaya Tritiya, a holy day for Hindus and Jains, is believed to bring good luck and success. It is considered to be an auspicious day to bring home gold. Gold price hovered around Rs 29,000 per 10 grams for 24 Carat purity in the national capital on Friday.

Gold futures glitter on Akshaya Tritiya
Gold prices were higher by 0.25 per cent to Rs 28,930 per ten grams in futures trade on Friday as speculators built up fresh positions, tracking a better trend at the spot markets on token by retailers on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.

Silver futures up 0.38% on Akshaya Tritiya
Supported by a firm trend at the physical markets on 'Akshaya Tritiya' buying by participants, silver prices rose by 0.38 per cent to Rs 39,820 per kg in futures trade on Friday.
