Akhilesh Yadav Stresses Harmony After Visiting BJP MLA in Hospital Who Got Injured Burring His Effigy

Uttar Pradesh leaders across party lines came together in a rare show of solidarity after BJP MLA Anupama Jaiswal sustained serious burn injuries during a protest in Bahraich.

Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, along with Akhilesh Yadav, visited her at Medanta Hospital to enquire about her condition and wish her a speedy recovery.

Jaiswal was injured while setting fire to an effigy during a BJP-led protest in support of the Centre's 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam'. She is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU under specialist care, with doctors closely monitoring the extent of her injuries.

Akhilesh Yadav's visit stood out as a gesture of political goodwill. Sharing his message, he stressed the importance of harmony over conflict, saying politics should not overshadow human relationships. Jaiswal's husband described the visit as an act of "human sensitivity and democratic courtesy," noting that compassion must rise above political differences.

Support has also poured in from across the BJP. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reportedly spoke to the family and ensured proper medical care, while several leaders, including Pankaj Chaudhary, have remained in touch and visited the hospital.

Leaders from other parties, including Om Prakash Rajbhar, also met the injured MLA, reflecting a broader political consensus in extending support during the crisis.

Doctors say the next 48-72 hours remain crucial in assessing the full extent of the burns. The incident, which occurred during a "Mahila Janakrosh March," has drawn attention not only for the severity of the injuries but also for the rare bipartisan response it triggered in Uttar Pradesh politics.
