Akhilesh Yadav Predicts BJPs Defeat in Seven-Phase Election

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav interprets the Election Commissions seven-phase election schedule as a sign of the BJPs impending departure from power. He believes the public will vote out the BJP in these phases and remove it from the Centre.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday welcomed the Election Commission's decision to hold the general election in seven phases, stating that this duration will mark the seven-phase departure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Centre.

BJP Confident of Winning Over 400 Seats

The BJP, on the other hand, has expressed confidence that it and its allies will secure more than 400 out of 543 seats in the lower house of Parliament, thereby securing a third term at the Centre.

BJP Spokespersons See Significance in Number Seven

UP BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai expressed optimism about the number seven, believing it bodes well for the party due to various reasons, including the anticipation of Narendra Modi's third term as prime minister and the party's consistent victories in Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the state since 2014.

Another BJP spokesperson, Rakesh Tripathi, drew parallels between the number seven and various aspects of Hindu religion and music, suggesting that these seven phases of Lok Sabha polls will bring good fortune to the party.

Congress Sees Anti-Incumbency Wave

In contrast, Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh highlighted the strong anti-incumbency wave in the country and the public's determination to oust the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) beyond the seven seas.

He also emphasized the impact of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, describing it as a seven-colored rainbow that has touched the lives of people from different sections of society across the country.

As the election campaign intensifies, the political parties are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to woo voters and secure their support in the upcoming general election.
