Amid tensions in the Samajwadi Party, supporters of Akhilesh and Shivpal clash

Lucknow, Oct 24: Supporters of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi party leader Shivpal Yadav clashed outside the party headquarters ahead of a crucial meeting called by SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Akhilesh's supporters and Shivpal's supporters raised slogans against the leaders.

Earlier on Sunday, in a dramatic tit-for-tat events in ruling SP, Akhilesh Yadav had ousted his uncle Shivpal Yadav and three others from the government, while the party brass retaliated by sacking SP General Secretaey Ram Gopal Yadav for six years.
