AK Anthony calls for Modi's ouster to save India's diversity

AK Anthony said that demonetisation had caused havoc in the country.

New Delhi, Feb 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi must be ousted in elections to save Indian diversity, Congress leader AK Antony said on Monday. The strength of India was the unity in diversity that the country was known for and today that has been destroyed by the RSS-controlled Modi-led BJP government, Antony said.

The former Kerala Chief Minister was inaugurating a political convention here of the Congress-led United Democratic Front. "The need of the hour is that we have to stand together to save India which was always known for its unity in diversity. Now with Modi at the helm, that idea has been destroyed," he said.

"To restore that, we all should ensure that through the ballot Modi is ousted and for that we will begin from here. This campaign must reach all over the country." Antony said demonetisation had caused havoc in the country.

"Many expected that the losses suffered by the people on account of demonetisation would be addressed but that has not happened."
