Good news for flyers! Separate X-ray for tablets, iPads not needed at airports
New Delhi, Mar 11: There is good news for flyers as Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has decided to do away with the x-Ray of personnel electronic devices like tablets and iPads.
As of now flyers are required to take out tablets or iPads from hand baggage to be put separately in trays for X-ray at airport security check, reported the Times of India.

The CISF that take care of security at airports in India have been apprised about the move and asked the paramilitary force to take a call on this issue shortly.
India is among the few countries that require flyers to take out tablets from hand bag and have them X-rayed separately, added the report.
