Air India's Delhi To Paris Flight Cancelled Due To Technical Issue

Air India has announced that it is offering hotel accommodations and full refunds for cancellations or complimentary rescheduling for passengers affected by flight disruptions. The airline is also working on alternative travel arrangements to ensure passengers reach their destinations as soon as possible.

A technical issue detected during mandatory pre-flight checks led to the cancellation of an Air India flight from Delhi to Paris, scheduled for Tuesday. According to an airline spokesperson, the problem with flight AI143 is being addressed by the technical team. Due to time constraints and night-time restrictions at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the service had to be cancelled.

Flight Cancellations and Passenger Assistance

The return flight AI142 from Paris to Delhi on June 18 was also cancelled. "We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers and are making alternative arrangements to fly them to their destination at the earliest," said the spokesperson. Passengers are being provided with hotel accommodations, full refunds on cancellations, or complimentary rescheduling options.

Earlier in the day, Air India's Ahmedabad-London flight was cancelled due to aircraft unavailability. This was attributed to airspace restrictions and additional precautionary checks following a recent incident involving AI-171. The airline clarified that no technical snag caused this cancellation and assured passengers of alternative travel arrangements.

Resumption of Ahmedabad-London Flights

The direct flight from Ahmedabad to London, previously known as AI-171, resumed operations with a new code, AI-159. This change followed a tragic crash that claimed 270 lives, including all 241 onboard. The service resumed five days after the incident with the new code, according to airport officials.

The Tata Group-owned airline confirmed on its website that flight AI-159 from Ahmedabad to London's Gatwick Airport was cancelled after being rescheduled. It was initially set to depart at 3 pm from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
