Shame: Air India airhostess molested by male colleague in Mumbai

Mumbai, June 9: Another shame for national carrier Air India. Now, a woman cabin crew member of the airline accused one of her male counterparts of molesting her.

The incident took place when the woman had checked in a hotel in Mumbai on Monday, June 8.

Indira Gandhi International Airport police in New Delhi has registered a 'Zero' FIR under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC in the May 25 incident and forwarded it to the Mumbai Police for further action.

The victim in her complaint to police alleged that she was molested by the male crew member when the two were staying at a hotel in Mumbai, police said.

After returning to Delhi from Mumbai, the air hostess approached police. An FIR was filed in the case and forwarded to Andheri police station in Mumbai for further probe, police officials added.

Zero FIR is an FIR that can be filed in any police station irrespective of the place of incident and the same can be later transferred to the appropriate police station.
