AIADMK takes a swipe at Kanimozhi

Chennai, Jan 28: Ruling AIADMK on Thursday, Jan 28 took a swipe at DMK Rajya Sabha MP and party chief M Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi, asking what kind of achievements her party would tell people when cadres meet them for the upcoming Assembly polls.

"Is it about the corruption in all spheres? Or is it about propagating till Tihar jail the pride of Dravidian politics? Or is it about the betrayal over river water issues like Cauvery and Mullaiperiyar?" a write-up in AIADMK mouthpiece Dr Namadhu MGR asked.

It was referring to Kanimozhi's appeal that the electorate should be apprised about achievements of the DMK by going from door-to-door and also to Kanimozhi's incarceration in Tihar jail in the 2G spectrum scam case.

Caricaturing DMK chief Karunanidhi, the AIADMK ridiculed him for repeatedly asking other political parties to join his party-led front for the Assembly polls.

The cartoon said no party was willing to join the DMK-led front. The daily also hit out at Karunanidhi for trying to blame the AIADMK over natural calamities.
