AIADMK quashes rumours of Jayalalithaa using sign language to communicate
Ever since Jayalalithaa has been admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, her health has been subject to countless rumours. The AIADMK on Thursday quashed some of the rumours.
Chennai, Oct 28: After the AIADMK confirmed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was "well", the ruling party quashed some of the rumours surrounding the party supremo's health condition.
The party spokesperson CR Saraswathi said it was a rumour that Jayalalithaa communicate only by sign language.
"Our leader is recovering fast. She is interacting with others. She speaks and it is all rumours that she communicates only by sign language," Saraswathi added.
Saraswathi said, "The Chief Minister is on the road to full recovery and it is for the doctors at Apollo Hospitals to decide on her discharge."
The 68-year-old AIADMK supremo is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road in Chennai, since September 22.
The ruling AIADMK on Wednesday said party supremo Jayalalithaa is "very well" and will return home soon.
"She is very well. God is by her side. She will come home soon," party spokesperson Saraswathi said.
Saraswathi added the prayers of party supporters bore fruit, and thanked the experts from the AIIMS, New Delhi, and Singapore, among others, who treated the chief minister.
