Ahmedabad School Bomb Threat: Three Schools Receive Threat Emails, Police On Alert

Three schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threat emails on Wednesday, prompting immediate action by the police and security agencies. Following the threats, police teams were deployed at the school premises to ensure the safety of students and staff, a Joint Police Commissioner said.

According to officials, the schools received an email message stating, "We will take revenge." Treating the threat as serious, school authorities promptly informed the police, who launched security checks and began an investigation into the source of the emails.

The schools in Ahmedabad that received the bomb threat emails are Maharaja Agrasen School, Zydus School for Excellence, and Zebra School.

Police teams, along with dog squads, were deployed at all three locations as part of precautionary measures. Security agencies carried out thorough checks on the campuses to rule out any immediate danger.

The incident comes amid a series of similar bomb threat emails sent to schools in different parts of the country in recent days. Earlier, on December 12, several schools in Amritsar, Punjab, received bomb threat emails that were later declared hoaxes. ADCP-2 Sirivennela said the threats were found to be fake after detailed anti-sabotage checks were conducted.

Similar cases were also reported in Delhi, where two schools received bomb threat emails on December 10. Sanskriti School was among those targeted, with the threatening email explicitly referencing the Khalistan movement and warning of a bomb attack later the same day.

Police authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine whether the Ahmedabad threats are linked to the recent hoax emails reported in other cities. Security has been tightened and officials have urged calm while assuring that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure public safety.
