After Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan To Get Y+ Security Cover
Following death threats, the Maharashtra government has increased the security of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan to the Y Plus category.
The Hindi star had given a written complaint to the state government that he had been receiving death threat calls after the films 'Pathan' and 'Jawan', Maharashtra Police said on Monday.

In the Y Plus security category, Khan will be provided with a total of 11 security personnel, comprising six commandos, four police officers, and a vehicle for traffic clearance. The police officers will be stationed at his residence, Mannat, due to threats related to his song and film releases.
The actor Bollywood actor to have the Y Plus security category is Salman Khan after he received threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
On October 5th, the state's home department sent a communication to senior police officials and various departments, including the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
The communication conveyed the message: "Considering the recent and potential threat to actor Shah Rukh Khan, all unit commanders are urged to offer Y+ level security on a paid basis, effective immediately. This arrangement should continue until the next high-level committee recommendation and review committee decision. This security provision is applicable during his visits, engagements, and residence within your jurisdiction, aimed at preventing any unfortunate incidents." The Times of India has obtained a copy of this communication.
The Maharashtra government revised its police protection policy in 2017. According to the revised policy, private citizens will receive security only if there is a genuine threat to their lives, and they will be responsible for covering the associated costs.
Sources have told The Times Of India that Shah Rukh will be required to cover the expenses for police security until a decision is made by the review committee regarding his protection.
