After Rane, Savio Rodrigues resigns from Congress
He has blasted the party leadership for wasting the mandate.
A day after Vishwajit Rane resigned from the Congress, another senior leader, Savio Rodrigues quit the party on Friday. Rodrigues took to Twitter to announce his decision to quit the Congress. Rodrigues was the vice president of the Congress' minority wing in Goa.

In a tweet he posted on Friday morning, Rodrigues made it clear that his attempts to contact the senior leadership of the Congress were futile.
In a couple of tweets, Rodrigues asked if the Congress hadn't failed in going to the governor in time and in electing a leader despite having enough numbers. Rodrigues has been expressing displeasure overt the way things were handled by senior leaders of the Congress in Goa, accusing them of not caring about the party or its members. In a tweet he posted on Thursday, Rodrigues had also said that the spokespersons of the party needed to accept the truth.
Rane, while resigning from the party has suggested that more 'like-minded' leaders would reconsider continuing to be part of the Congress party after 'mismanagement' by senior leadership.
