After Mira Road, Mumbai's Gol Deol Area Witnesses Clash Between 2 Groups Following Ayodhya Temple Inauguration

On the day of the Ayodhya Shri Ram Temple inauguration, another clash erupted in the Gol Deol area of Mumbai when a verbal altercation was triggered by a group of bikers displaying flags on their motorcycles.

The incident led to an escalation, drawing a large crowd to the scene.

The situation was immediately responded to by the VP Road Police, who intervened to prevent a direct confrontation between the two communities. In order to ensure the safety and security of the area, heightened security measures have been implemented by the Mumbai Police, reported Times Now. Following the incident, a case has been registered at the VP Road Police Station against an unidentified individual involved in the clash.

13 arrested in Mira Road Clash Case

Meanwhile, thirteen people were arrested, and four others, who are minors, were detained by the police after a clash between two communities during a vehicle rally on the outskirts of Mumbai, on January 21. A rally, consisting of 10-12 people in cars and motorcycles, took place on Sunday night in Naya Nagar in Mira Bhayender, chanting slogans praising Lord Ram.

The rally occurred ahead of the scheduled Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya. A scuffle ensued between the two groups when another group objected to firecrackers being burst during the rally. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that there would be "zero tolerance" against anyone attempting to disturb the law and order situation in the state, reported India Today.

Fadnavis provided detailed information about the incident in Naya Nagar in Mira Bhayender, instructing the police to take strict action against the culprits. As of now, 13 individuals have been arrested, and a detailed analysis of CCTV footage is underway to identify and apprehend others involved.

Fadnavis emphasized, "There will be zero tolerance against anyone who tries to take the law into their own hands and attempts to disturb the law & order situation in Maharashtra." Shrikant Pathak, DCP Mira Bhayandar, stated, "We are investigating the incident. Action will be taken against the accused only...I appeal to everybody to maintain peace...The police have taken timely action..."
