MLA threatened to strip Mrs Gandhi and her son if their party comes back to power after the upcoming election.

"Sonia and Rahul Gandhi should be stripped off their clothes and sent back to Italy," said BJP MLA Heeralal Regar during a public gathering at Tonk constituency in Rajasthan.

Regar, however, later apologised for his remark saying, "I have not taken any name. If anyone is hurt by my comments, I apologise."

The BJP MLA, during the rally, asserted that the President and Vice President of the Congress should be sent back to Italy. The Congress now moved the Election Commission demanding action against the BJP MLA.

Recently, BJP supporter -- Baba Ramdev too attacked Mrs Gandhi's foreign nationality. The yoga guru claimed that she is a bolt on Indian politics and compared her with demons. Ramdev also said that the UPA Chairperson has looted her in-laws country.

Regar's abusive comment against the Gandhis surfaced just days after Congress candidate from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh -- Imran Masood's hate speech against BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Masood, who was heard of threatening to chop off Modi into pieces, was arrested. Rahul Gandhi later disapproved such comments against opposition.
