New Delhi, May 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre is all set to complete its four-year rule on Saturday. To mark its fourth anniversary at the Centre, the saffron party will be hosting various events across the country.

On the "happy occasion", the BJP will also launch its re-election campaign for the all-important 2019 Lok Sabha polls, scheduled in April-May next year. However, some reports also say that the elections might be preponed and will be hosted in December this year.

According to various media reports, on Saturday, the BJP will unveil a three-minute video showcasing the government's various achievements over the last four years. It will also release its slogan for re-election during the celebrations of its fourth anniversary.

After wooing voters with "Abki Baar Modi Sarkar" (This Time, Modi's Government) slogan in 2014, for the 2019 elections, the BJP's main campaign slogan will be "2019 Mein Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar" (In 2019, Modi Government Yet Again).

Going by the slogan, it is clear that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be once again leading the campaign of the BJP as he did in 2014. The catchy election slogan, "Abki Baar Modi Sarkar", contributed immensely to the BJP's win as it captured the imagination of the voters in a big manner four years ago.

Looking for a change after being tired of a "corrupt" Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government, voters in 2014 gave the crown of India to then Gujarat chief minister Modi, whose "development" plank in his home state was something everyone in the country aspired for at that time.

Four years down the line, Modi's big promises of "Achhe Din" (Good Days) or "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas" (Collective Efforts Inclusive Growth) remained mere slogans as the country is currently reeling under various problems.

Right from prices of fuels reaching an all-time high, lack of job opportunities, rise in the numbers of rapes and murders of women/girls, mob lynching of Muslims and Dalits, saffronisation of educational institutions and subversion of judiciary by the ruling regime at the Centre, to name a few, the Modi government has come under severe attack from various quarters for its manifold failures.

Will the new slogan "2019 Mein Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar" help the BJP to come to power at the Centre, once again? The BJP is confident of repeating its previous performance (it won 282 Lok Sabha seats out of 543 in 2014).

The mood of the country is definitely different, this time. A few polls suggest that the BJP will once again come to power in 2019, despite the opposition parties' latest attempt to join hands together to thwart the saffron party's dream to form the next government at the Centre, once again.

Experts say the saffron party won't be able to sweep the polls in 2019 as it did in 2014. Only time will tell if "2019 Mein Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar" slogan will be able to recreate Modi magic once again or not.
