Aero India 2015: Accident averted, Red Bull planes scrape each other

Bengaluru, Feb 19: A major accident has been averted during a show at Aero India 2015 in Bengaluru on Thursday, Feb 19. It was a close shave for for two Red Bull aircraft while attempting a loop.

The two aircraft scraped against each other while demonstrating aerobatics at the ongoing Aero India show at Yelahanka air base in Bengaluru.

Aero India 2015: Accident averted

The accident took place as the wing of one aircraft collided against the propeller of another Red Bull aircraft while attempting a loop at the air show.

The aircraft were part of a three-plane formation. The wings of both aircraft were damaged.

Aero India 2015 was inaugurated on Wednesday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM made a strong pitch for increasing defence preparedness.
