Yogi Adityanath Calls on Lawmakers to Submit Road Construction Proposals Within 15 Days
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed all MPs and MLAs to submit proposals for road infrastructure projects within 15 days. These projects include constructing new roads, bypasses, and bridges, as well as repairing existing ones in their constituencies. This directive was given during a video conference with public representatives, where the chief minister highlighted the importance of quality roads in both rural and urban areas.

He assured lawmakers that there is no shortage of funds for these road projects. The chief minister urged them to collaborate closely with district administrations and core committees. These efforts will be supervised by the district minister in charge to ensure effective proposal drafting. He reiterated the need for active engagement from lawmakers in this initiative.
Focus on Connectivity and Tourism
Chief Minister Adityanath emphasised that even villages with populations as small as 250 should have paved roads. He encouraged representatives from districts lacking bypass roads to submit proposals tailored to local needs. The chief minister highlighted that adequate funds have been allocated to enhance connectivity to religious, spiritual, historical, and mythologically significant sites, which are crucial for boosting tourism.
He also pointed out the necessity of improving connectivity in industrial and logistics parks, as well as areas near sugar mills. This focus aims to support economic activities and facilitate smoother transportation networks across the state.
State-Wide Road Repair Campaign
The chief minister announced a state-wide campaign for road repairs and pothole removal. This campaign is set to be completed by October 10 in its first phase. Administrative officers from all zones, divisions, ranges, and districts participated in the meeting to discuss these plans.
"All the MPs and MLAs have to submit proposals within the next 15 days for the construction of new roads, bypasses and bridges, and the repair of existing ones in their constituencies," he stated during the conference.
The chief minister's directives aim to ensure comprehensive infrastructure development across Uttar Pradesh. By focusing on both urban and rural areas, the government seeks to improve overall connectivity and support economic growth through better transportation facilities.
