Adityanath arrives at Gorakhpur amidst chants of Yogi, Yogi

His home town of 6 lakhs in eastern UP was readying for the high-profile visit since Friday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived at his home town of Gorakhpur amidst chants of Yogi, Yogi on Saturday. A huge crowd had gathered to receive Adityanath who took over as CM of Uttar Pradesh exactly a week back.

The town painted a saffron look as the CM along with his motorcade made its landing in Gorakhpur. People were heard chanting Yogi, Yogi, and Yogi Adityanath Zindabad (long live Yogi).

His hometown of a population of 6 lakh in eastern UP was readying for the high-profile visit since Friday.

The entire mechanism was at work. Traders, politicians and the locals left no stone unturned to ensure that the visit is a grand one. The entire town has turned saffron. Almost all have put out posters outside their homes welcoming him.

There is a lot of activity outside the Maharana Pratap College where scores of people have lined up to present their CM with a bouquet. The traffic police is having a nightmare. They have already warned people of traffic jams and advised them to stay indoors until the road show begins.
