Adani also highlighted the Group’s underground coal mine at Gondkhairi as amodel for responsible mining, featuring minimal land use, zerodisplacement, no blasting, rainwater harvesting and zero effluent discharge.
Vidarbha’s aviation ecosystem is set to receive a boost through theexpansion of a 30-acre Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility atMIHAN following the acquisition of Indamer Technics Pvt Ltd. With 15aircraft bays and approvals from both the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the facility isexpected to position Nagpur as an emerging international MRO hub integratedwith the Air Works global network.
Beyond infrastructure, Adani outlined the Adani Foundation’s ongoinginitiatives in Gondia and Nagpur districts, covering primary healthcare,education, women’s self-help groups, nutrition programmes, solar lighting,clean water access, sports promotion and school development.
On sustainability, Adani said the Tiroda power plant followszero-water-discharge practices and recycles fly ash for use in cement andagriculture. The Group has committed to planting 100 million trees by 2030,while Adani Energy Solutions is targeting 60 per cent renewable energysourcing by 2027.
He credited the Centre and the Maharashtra government for creating aconducive environment for Vidarbha’s resurgence, adding that the region isnow defined by tangible progress rather than potential alone.
The Vidarbha roadmap aligns with the Adani Group’s broader commitments toMaharashtra. At the 56th World Economic Forum in Davos last month, PranavAdani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, signed memoranda ofunderstanding worth $66 billion with the state government across renewableenergy, power transmission, logistics, data centres and infrastructure.
