Diva & Jeet Adani Celebrate First Wedding Anniversary with Divyang Women

Marking their first wedding anniversary, Diva and Jeet Adani commemorated the occasion by completing one year of Adani Mangal Seva, a social security initiative aimed at supporting divyang women through long-term financial stability and dignity.

The milestone was observed on Thursday evening at the Belvedere Club lawns in Shantigram, Ahmedabad, where beneficiaries, their families and representatives of the Adani Foundation gathered to reflect on the progress of the initiative. Launched ahead of Diva and Jeet Adani's wedding on February 7, 2025, Adani Mangal Seva was conceived as a commitment to transform a personal celebration into a sustained social responsibility.

Under the initiative, 500 divyang women were supported in its first year, each receiving a fixed deposit of Rs 10 lakh. The deposits, created in partnership with State Bank of India, are structured to provide assured monthly income, with access to the principal amount after 10 years, ensuring long-term financial security.

Adani Mangal Seva is anchored by the Adani Foundation, the social welfare and development arm of the Adani Group. The beneficiaries, women aged between 25 and 40, are identified in collaboration with project partner Youth for Jobs and are required to hold Unique Disability ID cards.

The programme is designed to continue for at least five years, supporting up to 500 divyang women annually, with an annual allocation of Rs 50 crore. According to the Foundation, the initiative is rooted in the philosophy of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, who advocates the belief that service should be continuous and responsibility-driven rather than symbolic.

The anniversary event featured the distribution of fixed deposit certificates to beneficiaries, along with cultural performances by the Blind People's Association of Ahmedabad, including a Garba presentation and a fusion music performance. The gathering began with prayer and reflection, followed by presentations outlining the objectives and impact of the programme.

Gautam Adani, in a post on social media platform X, extended his blessings to Diva and Jeet Adani on their anniversary and reflected on the continuation of Adani Mangal Seva. He noted that the initiative has brought financial security, dignity and renewed hope to many families, adding that the fulfilment derived from restoring confidence and smiles in the lives of beneficiaries surpasses material success.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, said the initiative was inspired by the belief that personal happiness finds its highest meaning when shared for collective well-being. She emphasised that Adani Mangal Seva is not merely a programme but an expression of faith in the strength, resilience and dignity of women with disabilities.

Jeet Adani, speaking at the event, described the initiative as a quiet but enduring form of support, adding that it represents a responsibility the family intends to carry forward. Diva Adani highlighted that the programme is built on the belief that financial security should be lasting and dignity should never be dependent on circumstances.

During the programme, Gautam Adani also released a book documenting stories of transformation under Adani Mangal Seva. The evening concluded with a community dinner, maintaining the inclusive and grounded spirit of the initiative.

As Adani Mangal Seva completes its first year, it stands as an example of how personal milestones can be transformed into sustained social commitments, reinforcing the Adani Foundation's broader philosophy that prosperity and service are inseparable.
