Adani Family Launches ‘Mangal Seva’ Initiative To Support Newly Married Divyang Women

In a remarkable gesture of social responsibility, the Adani family has announced a new philanthropic initiative, 'Mangal Seva,' aimed at supporting newly married women with disabilities. The announcement comes just days before the wedding of Jeet Adani, the younger son of Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group.

Under this programme, the Adani family will provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to 500 newly married women with disabilities every year. The initiative seeks to empower these women, helping them build secure and dignified futures alongside their partners.

On February 5, 2025, Jeet Adani personally met with 21 newly married divyang women and their husbands to officially launch this noble initiative. The event, held at the Adani residence in Ahmedabad, showcased the family's commitment to promoting social welfare. Jeet Adani is set to marry Diva Shah on February 7 (Friday).

Mangal Seva Initiative

Gautam Adani took to social media platform X to express his pride and joy at his son Jeet and future daughter-in-law Diva Shah's decision to begin their journey with a resolution rooted in service. In his post, Gautam Adani highlighted the sacred values behind the initiative, stating, "Seva sadhana hai, seva prarthana hai aur seva hi paramatma hai" (Service is worship, service is prayer, and service is the path to divinity). He blessed the couple and expressed hope that 'Mangal Seva' would uplift the lives of many divyang daughters and their families.

This philanthropic endeavour is not an isolated effort by the Adani family. They have long been involved in initiatives that promote social welfare. The Adani family, in collaboration with ISKCON, has been instrumental in feeding lakhs of pilgrims daily at the Mahakumbh, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.

Dr. Priti Adani, Jeet's mother and Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, has been a driving force behind the family's philanthropic vision. Her dedication to creating inclusive opportunities for marginalised communities has clearly inspired Jeet's keen interest in disability-focused philanthropic initiatives.

Jeet Adani, who currently serves as Director of Adani Airport Holdings, oversees India's largest airport infrastructure company and plays a significant role in the Group's defense, petrochemicals and digital transformation initiatives. His involvement in 'Mangal Seva' signals his intent to carry forward the family's legacy of service.

As Jeet Adani and Diva Shah embark on their journey together, their commitment to 'Mangal Seva' underscores the Adani family's unwavering dedication to social welfare and inclusivity. This initiative not only supports newly married divyang women but also sets a benchmark for socially responsible endeavors across the nation.
