Wedding in Nandalur Cancelled After Ex-Lover's Acid Attack Attempt

A 44-year-old widow's alleged attempt to attack her ex-lover with acid led to the cancellation of his wedding in Nandalur on Sunday, according to a police official. Around 11 am, Jaya, a former software engineer from Tirupati, confronted Sheikh Syed, 32, at the wedding venue in Aravapalli village. Syed was preparing to marry another woman without Jaya's knowledge.

The police revealed that Jaya and Syed had been in a relationship for about a decade. However, Syed had left for Kuwait three years ago to work as a driver. He returned to India and was set to marry on Sunday. During the confrontation, Syed stated he would not stay with Jaya anymore.
