Accused in Kerala Nursing student's gangrape held
Thiruvananthapuram, May 6: The gruesome rapists in the Kerala Nursing gangrape case finally have a face. All three accused who raped a 19-year old student in an autorickshaw in Kerala have been arrested.
One of them being her friend, the girl said that she was assaulted by by her friend Shyju and Sujith in an auto-rickshaw on Tuesday at Varkala near Thiruvananthapuram. 24-year old Shyju, who was the owner of the auto, and 25-year old Sujith were taken into custody.
She was found by the people in a state of shock and having fits. She was crying for help when the people found her. The girl was then taken to the hospital where her health is being monitored by a team of doctors.
Police officer Vinod B said,"Based on the statement of the girl, we registered a case against three persons. A medical examination has confirmed that she was gangraped."

This came just a few days after the brutal rape and murder of a law student, who was found dead in her house with the intestines hanging out.
No one has been arrested so far and police aapathy has enraged media and the public in Kerala, which is also prepping up for elections next week.
