ABVP Celebrates 76 Years of Empowering Youth and National Service

The RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) marked its 76th foundation day on Tuesday. Leaders praised the organisation for championing youth voices and motivating students to serve the nation. Senior ABVP office-bearer Ashish Chauhan, speaking at a seminar in Prayagraj, highlighted that ABVP members, guided by the motto of Gyan, Sheel, Ekta, have always prioritised the nation.

ABVP's Role in Student Advocacy

Chauhan emphasised that the organisation represents India's youth voice. He noted that ABVP has never engaged in party politics and remains committed to addressing student issues vigorously. "Today it is present on every campus in India ... ABVP works not for the change of power but for the change of society," he stated.

Dr Anand Shankar Singh, principal of Ishwar Sharan Degree College, presided over the programme. He remarked, "Student power is the power of the Nation - this was said by the workers of the Vidhyarthi Parishad and today we are seeing it come true."

Messages from Political Leaders

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his greetings to ABVP on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote in Hindi, "Congratulations and best wishes to all the workers and students on the Foundation Day of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), an organisation that constantly inspires students to serve the nation and to have a sense of duty!"

Adityanath further added that with a pledge of knowledge (gyaan), ethical behaviour (sheel), and unity (ektaa), ABVP inspires students towards national reconstruction. He acknowledged their role in striving for a developed and self-reliant India.

UP's deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with state BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary, also commended ABVP. They recognised its contributions to student welfare and national development.

The celebration underscored ABVP's ongoing commitment to student advocacy and societal change. The organisation continues to influence campuses across India, promoting values of knowledge, ethics, and unity among students.
