'Absence of CBI, ED Cases Against KCR Questionable': Rahul Gandhi Alleging 3-Party Nexus In Telangana

In a new political challenge aimed at Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Chandrashekar Rao, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM are collaborating with the BJP and launching a joint attack on the Congress.

Gandhi also raised questions about KCR's silence on the matter of caste census. He stated that his party will conduct the survey if they come to power in the state. He encouraged the people of Telangana to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister KCR regarding the caste census survey.

The Congress leader mentioned, "We have already initiated caste census surveys in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Karnataka, and will do the same in Telangana as soon as we come to power. The caste census will reveal how much KCR's family has looted Telangana." He made these comments during a roadshow in Bhupalpally, Telangana today, 19th October.

Furthermore, Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP for filing cases against opposition parties to stifle their voices but noted that there are no such cases against KCR."The absence of CBI and ED cases against Chief Minister KCR raises questions." said Gandhi as quoted by NDTV.

Gandhi criticized KCR, stating that he had distanced himself from the common people, and only his family is ruling the state. He asserted that the dream of Telangana becoming a state where the common man would govern has been shattered. He said, "But in the last ten years, your Chief Minister, KCR, has distanced himself from the people, and only his family is ruling the state. He has shattered your dream,"

Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the caste census is a critical issue in the country adding that, "It is like an x-ray that reveals the percentage of backward classes, SC, ST, and minorities, enabling equitable budget allocation."

He noted that it was a Congress-led government that fulfilled the promise of statehood for Telangana and expressed his affection for the people of Telangana. He contrasted his relationship with the people with the political relationships of KCR and Modi, emphasizing that his connection is based on love and affection.

"My relationship with the people of Telangana is one of love and affection. While KCR and Modi come to Telangana for a political relationship with you, my connection with you is based on love and affection." stated the Congress leader.

Gandhi also highlighted the issue of corruption in Telangana, claiming it has the highest corruption rate in India, which adversely affects the youth and women of the state.

Addressing the people gathered during the Congress march, he expressed optimism about the upcoming election, stating, "Looking at your enthusiasm, it seems likely that KCR is going to lose this election."

The caste census issue has become a subject of contention between the BRS and the Congress in the lead-up to the polls.

KCR's daughter and Legislative Council member K. Kavitha had previously questioned why the Congress did not conduct a caste survey during its six decades in power. "This Congress leader started talking about the census of the Backward Classes population. When they were in power for 60 years, they did not do it. Now he says he will do something," said Kavitha in Nizamabad last week, as quoted by PTI.

She also noted that the KCR government had conducted a caste survey in 2014, which helped inform policy changes. Regarding the Samagra Kutumba Survey, its results were not disclosed to the public due to ongoing legal challenges. However, the state government claimed that they utilized the data to make policy changes.

Kavitha further praised KCR's commitment to the welfare of backward classes and suggested that Mr. Gandhi merely makes statements before elections, unlike her father, who has prioritized the welfare of backward classes.
