Abhijeet Dipke’s CJP Announces June 11 Pune Protest Seeking Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), a youth-focused organisation led by founder Abhijeet Dipke, has announced a protest in Pune on June 11, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests across the country.

The announcement was made on Monday, with Dipke using social media platform X to mobilise supporters ahead of the demonstration in what is often referred to as Maharashtra's educational capital.

Pune Chosen as Venue for Fresh Demonstration

Sharing details of the upcoming protest, Dipke posted on X: "Let's meet in Pune! Hail Maharashtra!"

The party's official social media handle also urged supporters to participate in large numbers. In a separate post, CJP stated: "Cockroaches will demand Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation in Maharashtra's educational capital Pune. How many Pune cockroaches will join?"

The planned protest is expected to focus on allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in examinations and recruitment processes, issues that have sparked concerns among students and job aspirants in recent years.

Dipke Distances Movement From Nepal, Bangladesh Protests

Responding to comparisons between the CJP's activities and recent youth-led protests in Nepal and Bangladesh, Dipke clarified that the organisation's campaign follows a different path.

Speaking on Sunday, he said the movement is peaceful in nature and should not be linked to demonstrations witnessed in neighbouring countries. He also reiterated that the CJP is an independent platform created specifically for Generation Z and does not have any affiliation with political parties.

Organisation Focused Exclusively on Gen Z

Dipke emphasised that the CJP was established as a space for young people to raise issues affecting their future, particularly concerns related to education, examinations and employment opportunities.

According to him, the organisation's primary objective is to amplify the voices of Gen Z citizens rather than function as a conventional political outfit.

Earlier Protest Held at Jantar Mantar

The Pune event follows an earlier protest organised by the CJP at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6. During that demonstration, participants also demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, citing alleged paper leaks and examination-related irregularities.

With another protest now scheduled in Pune, the organisation is seeking to build momentum around its campaign and draw attention to concerns raised by students and job seekers regarding the examination and recruitment system.
