Abducted Naga social worker found dead in Manipur

The body of Ngamreishang Ningshen, former Vice-president of Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) which is an important Tangkhul Naga civil organisation, was recovered from Thayong village area on Friday.
Ningshen (38), who came from his native Ukhrul district to the house of a relative at Imphal, was abducted by at least five persons on September 17, they said.
The family members of Ningshen, whose body bore several injury marks, suspected involvement of a hill-based militant outfit in the kidnapping and killing as they had allegedly received threats from the group, which branded the social worker as an informer of the security personnel, the officials said.
