AAP's Kuldeep Kumar, Somnath Bharti, Mahabal Mishra To File Nominations Today

For the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates Kuldeep Kumar from East Delhi, Somnath Bharti from the New Delhi seat, and Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi constituency will file their nominations today. The Delhi will go to polls in the sixth phase on May 25, 2024. According to the reports, all three candidates will do massive road shows and top party leaders will accompany them.

The reports said Sunita Kejriwal, wife of jailed Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, will join Somnath Bharti and woo voters in his favor. It is also expected that other AAP MLAs will do the road show in support of Kuldeep Kumar ahead of nomination.

Delhi Congress has also announced to extend support to INDIA Bloc candidates. Reportedly, newly appointed Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav will join Mahabal Mishra along with AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

Mahabal Mishra will contest against BJP's Kamaljeet Sehrawat, while East Delhi candidate Kuldeep Kumar will face MP Manoj Tiwari, former Delhi BJP chief. At the third hot seat, New Delhi constituency, Somnath Bharti will compete against Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former minister Sushma Swaraj.

Notably, the BJP changed six out of seven MP candidates this time. While AAP and Congress came together to defeat the saffron front.

Congress's Chandni Chowk candidate JP Agrawal will also file his nomination today.

A day ago, BJP leader Ramvir Singh Bidhuri submitted his nomination for the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. This move sets the stage for a notable contest as AAP candidate Sahiram Pahalwan, supported by the Congress, had already filed his nomination earlier, creating a scenario of MLA versus MLA battle.

Over in the North West Delhi seat, Congress candidate Udit Raj has followed suit, officially submitting his nomination papers.
