AAP Sources Reveal Name Of Next Delhi Chief Minister; Details Inside

Since the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced to step down from his position, speculation and curiosity on who will be the next chief minister of Delhi started among the people of the capital. Several rounds of meetings at AAP Supremo's residence took place between Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Raghav Chadha, and other top leaders, and the churning continues.

A top source inside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on the condition of anonymity, said that Delhi Minister Atishi, Sourabh Bhardwaj, Kailash Gehlot, Gopal Rai, and MP Raghav Chadha are in the fray for the hot position. The source revealed that Raghav Chadha, who was also in the race for Chief Minister of Punjab in 2022, is likely to be the next chief minister of Delhi. At that time, Bhagwant Mann took a leapfrog over Raghav Chadha to claim the CM's chair, and the Chartered Accountant was sent to Rajya Sabha.

But now, the party is likely to reward Raghav for his decade-old loyalty and hard work done to strengthen the roots of the Aap Aadmi Party.

However, the final decision will only be made after the PAC meeting and approval from AAP MLAs.

As per the latest report, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will hand over his resignation to Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Tuesday afternoon. And it is most likely that leaders accompanying Kejriwal may hand over the proposal letter signed by AAP MLAs to form a new government in Delhi under the new leader.

On the other side, names of the rest of the top leadership are also being speculated as many MLAs are founding members of the party and have been loyal to its leadership, even when the Chief Minister was in jail.

Minister Atishi, who holds several ministries, comes with a bag full of administration experience. While Kailash Gehlot is a Jaat face of the party and picking him may power AAP in upcoming Haryana Assembly Elections 2024.
