AAP Leader Sarvesh Mishra Denies Receiving Money in Connection with Delhi Excise Policy Case
In a recent development in the Delhi excise policy case, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sarvesh Mishra has vehemently denied media reports claiming his involvement in any monetary transactions related to the case. He has termed these reports as false and warned of initiating legal action against those spreading such misinformation.
Mishra's Rebuttal

On Saturday, Mishra took to his social media platform X to refute these allegations. In a post written in Hindi, he expressed his dismay at various news channels, newspapers and other media organisations for running misleading news about him confirming receipt of money from an undisclosed source. "I want to clarify that I have never said that. These are completely baseless and malicious allegations and a conspiracy to defame and tarnish my reputation," stated Mishra in his post.
A Warning Against False News
The AAP spokesperson also made an earnest request to all types of media outlets publishing such false news, asking them to abstain from doing so or else face legal consequences for defamation. Highlighting the principles of honesty, truth, service and fearlessness upheld by their leader Sanjay Singh, Mishra declared that he would not compromise with them under any circumstances.
The Enforcement Directorate's Move
This rebuttal comes after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned two associates of arrested AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Friday for questioning in connection with a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in implementing the now-scrapped excise policy. The officials confirmed this move but did not disclose further details.
Court Proceedings Against Singh
Prior to this development, a Delhi court had sent Singh into custody on Thursday without providing specific details about the charges against him or the duration of his detention. This move has stirred up controversy and raised questions about the transparency of the legal proceedings.
In conclusion, as this case continues to unfold, it brings with it a wave of uncertainty and apprehension. The allegations against prominent political figures like Sarvesh Mishra and Sanjay Singh have not only put their reputations at stake but also cast a shadow over the credibility of AAP. It is crucial for all parties involved to ensure that truth prevails, maintaining the faith of the public in our democratic processes. Moreover, media outlets must exercise restraint and integrity while reporting such sensitive issues to prevent further misinformation from spreading.
