AAP fields retd IAS officer for Mizoram LS seat

The only seat in Mizoram is set to see a triangular contest between the AAP, Congresss and the eight-party alliance called the UDF. Sitting MP C L Ruala, a veteran Congress leader will be facing challenges from UDF's Robert Romawia Royte a teacher-turned-technocrat-turned-entrepreneur besides Lalmanzuala. The UDF, which includes the BJP, had serious differences over deciding its candidate.
In 2009, Ruala defeated Dr. H. Lallungmuana (Independent) by 1,08,955 votes from this seat. Rualka was a member of the Mizoram state assembly for two terms between 1989-98.
