AAP Faces Setback As MP And MLA From Punjab Join BJP Ahead Of Elections
In a significant blow to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Sushil Kumar Rinku, the party's MP from Jalandhar, Punjab, and Sheetal Angural, MLA from Jalandhar West, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi on Wednesday.
The duo joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and the party's national general secretary, Vinod Tawde.

After joining the BJP, Sushil Kumar Rinku expressed disappointment with AAP, stating that his promises to the people of Jalandhar were not fulfilled due to lack of support from his former party. He praised the working style of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
"I have taken this decision for the development of Jalandhar. We will take Jalandhar forward and bring all the projects of the Central Government to Jalandhar," Rinku told ANI.
